Kirat Singh
Mr. Singh has had a long career as one of Wall Street’s premier technologists. Prior to co-founding Beacon Kirat spent four years launching and delivering the Quartz project at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, which is now used by more than five thousand developers across the bank. Before that he launched and delivered the Athena project at JPMorgan with Dr. Higgins, and spent eight years at Goldman Sachs building the SecDB platform used across the firm.
Mark Higgins
Dr. Higgins has deep financial industry experience in quantitative research and analytics. Before co-founding Beacon in 2014 Mark spent eight years at JPMorgan, launching and delivering the Athena project, co-heading the Quantitative Research group for the investment bank, and running the electronic market-making business for currency options. Before JPMorgan he spent eight years at Goldman Sachs as a strategist on the foreign exchange and interest rate market-making desks.
James Corrigan
With his 25 years of experience, Mr. Corrigan will be responsible for overseeing all of Beacon’s go-to-market functions, which include Sales, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Professional Services. Jamie joins us from SimCorp where he spent the past 8 years serving as Executive Vice President and Managing Director, responsible for the strategy and growth of SimCorp’s North America division. Additionally, Jamie served on SImCorp’s Global Management Committee for his entire tenure at SimCorp. Prior to SimCorp, Jamie spent 7 years at SunGard, overseeing the Global Trading & Risk software businesses.
Alla Liberman
Ms. Liberman has 20+ years of experience driving business growth with a data-driven approach to strategy development, process optimization, and prioritization. Prior to joining Beacon in 2021, Alla was the founder and CIO of Pentagon Capital Partners. Before that she had an extensive career in both Hedge Fund and Bank portfolio and risk management. She built and ran Fixed Income Proprietary Trading Groups at JPMorgan and Royal Bank of Canada, followed by managing global fixed income portfolios for Brevan Howard, Citadel, and Point72 Asset Management. Her expertise and analytical approach will help drive Beacon’s strategy across business units and improve the scalability of operations.
Rob Potter
Mr. Potter has over a decade of experience in finance and joins Beacon to expand the company’s healthy financial foundation as we scale in several dimensions. Prior to Beacon, Rob served as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for financial market intelligence company AlphaSense. Before that, Rob’s experience includes leading Financial Planning and Analysis for Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, and Tudor Investments.
Anya Boutov
Ms. Boutov has extensive experience helping financial institutions manage their trading and investment businesses in a complex regulatory environment. Prior to joining Beacon as Head of Sales in June 2017, Anya spent three years as a senior policy advisor on global capital markets and financial regulation in the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Before Treasury she worked for nine years at Goldman Sachs in a variety of roles related to fixed income sales and regulatory compliance.
Sarah-Jane McColl
Ms. McColl is passionate about bridging the gap between technology and client needs. Prior to joining Beacon in 2017, Sarah-Jane spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs leading technology teams to solve complex business problems on both the buy and sell side. Her expertise in business analysis makes a significant contribution to the success of the resulting solutions, with a strong focus on follow through to execution and providing an excellent delivery experience.
Jennifer Skrapits
Jennifer Skrapits leads Beacon’s Human Capital function and is responsible for the planning and execution of talent management. Ms. Skrapits is also the lead on Benefits and Compensation and manages the firm’s HR Business Partners. Prior to joining Beacon in 2017, Jennifer worked as an equity sales trader at UBS in New York, extending her knowledge of investment banking and the financial services industry. Before becoming a sales trader, she held positions as a project manager and business manager at a number of investment advisory firms.
Ryo Shimizu
Mr. Shimizu has abundant experience in software engineering and financial markets. Prior to joining Beacon in 2017, Ryo spent ten years at Goldman Sachs Asia where he built and headed the APAC Central Risk Book and led the APAC Equities One Delta Strategies group. Before Goldman Sachs Ryo spent five years at The Mathworks, Inc. as a software engineer. Ryo serves as Representative Director of Beacon Platform K.K., working closely with Beacon’s clients throughout the region.
Liza Horowitz
Ms. Horowitz is an accomplished communicator and brand developer, and brings a broad range of experience to the company. Prior to joining Beacon in 2019, Liza spent six years at Dataminr, where she leveraged the company’s artificial intelligence news monitoring system to help clients with international content and strategy development. Before that she worked as a news desk editor at Bloomberg.
John Solder
Mr. Solder has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. John started his career as part of a quantitative research team at DLJ focusing on fixed income agency securities and derivatives. From DLJ he moved to Credit Suisse continuing sell-side fixed income research on sub-prime and alt-a products. John spent 15 years at UBS in a variety of technology leadership roles including as part of a front-office technology team implementing and integrating CTRM/ETRM solutions. Most recently John has been working with early stage FinTech companies building highly scalable Sales Engineering teams to support their hyper growth.
Farai Mtetwa
Mr. Mtetwa has extensive experience building tools and applications for financial services. Prior to joining Beacon in 2015, Farai spent fifteen years at Goldman Sachs leading the development of pricing, risk and lifecycle systems for commodities businesses, including physical logistics systems.
David Hooper
Mr. Hooper has significant experience architecting and developing systems for commodities markets. Prior to joining Beacon in 2016, David spent 13 years as a senior strategist at Goldman Sachs, with broad responsibilities across deal pricing, modelling, and implementation. He specialised in building pricing, trading, and risk management systems for physical commodities, including logistics components such as freight, warehousing, and supply.
Jeffrey Paz
Mr. Paz has an extensive track record delivering business solutions in large financial services firms. Prior to joining Beacon in 2017, Jeffrey spent over 24 years at Goldman Sachs in a variety of technology roles. Most recently he was VP and senior technology lead, focused on evaluating and implementing innovative technologies for business re-alignment, regulatory reform, and new products or markets.
Neil Palmer
Mr. Palmer has over 20 years of experience in software engineering, commodity strategy, and quantitative analytics. Prior to joining Beacon in 2016, Neil was Head of Quantitative Analytics at Centrica Energy. Before that, Neil held a variety of roles leading commodities business quantitative and structuring teams at Constellation Power, BP, and Goldman Sachs.
